DeepManage

Cloud or on‑premises: you choose where DeepManage runs

Both options have exactly the same features. The difference is who runs the servers, where your data lives and how it is priced.

Cloud (SaaS)

We host and operate it

Your organization gets its own DeepManage address, such as yourorg.deepmanage.com. We run the servers, apply updates and keep the service available.

  • Ready as soon as your environment is set up
  • No servers, databases or certificates to maintain
  • Always on the latest version
  • Suitable when your policy allows a hosted service

On‑premises

Installed in your own network

DeepManage runs on your servers, inside your network. Device data never leaves your infrastructure, and the system works without internet access.

  • Full control over data location and access
  • Works in closed and air‑gapped networks
  • Connects to your LDAP directory
  • Licenses and installation quoted for your environment

How an on‑premises installation works

  1. Step 1

    Plan

We agree on the server layout with your team: a single server for smaller fleets, or separate application, database and real‑time nodes for larger ones.

  2. Step 2

    Prepare

You provide Linux servers (Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04). Our installer sets up Docker and the DeepManage containers, also from offline packages when there is no internet.

  3. Step 3

    Configure

We set the public addresses, TLS certificate and LDAP connection, then create your first administrator.

  4. Step 4

    Enroll

Your team enrolls the first devices and applies policies. Updates are delivered as new container images that you load and roll out.

Frequently asked questions

Can we move from the cloud to on‑premises later?

Yes. Because both editions run the same software, we can plan a move with you. Contact us to discuss the steps for your fleet.

What do we need for an on‑premises installation?

Linux servers (Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04), a domain name and TLS certificate that devices can reach, and network access between devices and the server. We size the servers with you based on the number of devices.

Does on‑premises work without internet?

Yes. The installer can use offline packages and container images, and devices only need to reach your DeepManage server.

Can on‑premises use Android Enterprise mode?

Yes, if the server can reach the internet and Google services; the installation connects with your own Google Cloud project. Installations without internet access use classic mode. See Android Enterprise vs classic mode.

Can on‑premises scale to large fleets?

Yes. Application nodes can be added, and the database layer can run in a sharded, highly available layout.

Where is cloud data stored?

In the cloud edition data is stored on servers operated by Infoline. Ask us for details of the hosting location as part of your evaluation.
